Basically, every year, my school has a week called Spirit week where all the class compete with each other (but it doesn't matter, the seniors have it rigged to win). Anyway, this is one of the events. What happens is a bunch of the guys from every grade learn a dance routine and then preform Thursday afternoon and night for the whole school and then the parents/siblings/whoever shows up with tickets. Here's an example:
Juniors- 2010
So anyways, now I'm a sophomore and I've done every year at the school so far:
7th grade- 4th place (we were stoked!)
8th grade- 3rd place (even more stoked!!)
9th grade- disqualified for inappropriate song (that year...well, let's just not talk about it)
10th grade- it's this year, and we think we could get 2nd or even 1st! Our theme is superman, it's gonna be so epic.
So the point of this topic: Do your school's have a "spirit week" or at least sometime where the whole school has fun?
Discussifacalifery.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I just got back from a 3 and 1/2 hour Poms practice. It would be rather accurate to say I am tired.

Sounds like a lot of fun!
My school's Homecoming week sounds kind of like your Spirit Week. We have an assembly where the Homecoming court people do skits. The Senate (that's the student government) "dresses up" the commons according to the theme. (They dress it up at other times too. When the most recent Harry Potter movie came out, they made it Hogwarts-y). There is a club fair one or two days of the week during lunch or after school. And of course, there's the football game.
We don't really have competitions between classes though- that sounds fun.

Oh I am soooo jealous of the Harry Potter thing. My school would never let that fly.
It was cool. Our mascot's human and we have a statue of one in the commons. They gave him a robe (made of a trash bag), a paper tie, a paper wand, a paper scar, and paper glasses to make him into Harry.
It was cool.

I forgot to mention that we have 3 other major events in Spirit week:
BLUE MAN STOMP:
A routine with drumming/rhythm/if-you've-ever-seen-the-blue-man-group.
LYP SYNC:
Like Boy's Poms, but mainly for girls. Usually songs like Disney or other musical movies.
HALLWAYS:
Decorating a section of the hallway based on a chosen theme.
So are any of you're events like this? I'm starting to feel my school's pretty lucky...

That's unfair.
