It's me, KalinaStar back again, posting in the miscellaneous forum! I have a lot to say, and some of it might sound stupid and overly descriptive, but I'm just excited to be back after I left for a while!

Yes, tomorrow is my second official 6th grade dance. I'm super excited...but I'm a bit sick. Pretty sure I'll get better by tomorrow though-going my friend's house before to carpool to the dance-it's going to be SO much fun! But I have to bring all my stuff, and I HATE getting ready at another person's house, because you might lose stuff. I hope they don't play Katy Perry (except for Firework) because I am SERIOUSLY going to barf if they do.

Tomorrow I'm wearing a black sequined dress (from H&M, girls section, but a little more non-little kid looking) with the new flats I got, which should be pretty comfortable. I'm pairing it with silver butterfly earrings (which have two tiny butterflies on little silver chains that dangle from a stud) and a matching necklace. Can't wait! Through email, I requested 'Never Gonna Give You Up' as a joke-hope I can Rickroll the whole middle school!

Did you ever have a school dance? If so, when, and how old were you when you were allowed to go? What songs were playing-did you request anything? Did you slow dance? What did you wear?

My school only does dances for 7th+, and I went earlier in the school year.

I've been to multiple dances. The 7th grade ones are really loud, like the soundwaves nearly crush your skull. But there's a movie, and a game room. I placed an EPIC game of apples to apples with a ninja, a friend f mine, and a couple other peeps. I threw an oreo at the ninja and hit him. big_smile

I'm in sixth grade too! Last dance,my friends and I wrote in the request book "Death Note Original Theme: The World" and the dude actually played it! No one understood why this was so funny though besides my friends and me. We also got him to play The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny and the Season One Pokemon Theme! By Pokemon, the teachers were confused so I made a run for it with my friends. I'm rick rolling next dance! big_smile

I didn't slow dance, I have no one to slow dance with. hmm Typical of me. I'm the smart kid, you know? Haha, I could get a dance if I wanted to. I said I was the smart kid, I'm also the quiet kid. Yeah, that's my thing. I'm the quiet kid in periods 3, 4, and sometimes 2, but really it's mostly an act. It's fun to mess with people sometimes.
And sorry about the earrings. Totally un-called for.

I don't bother. At my old school, nobody danced anyway and just ate, jumped around and played Wii, so it was okay, because I hate dancing and it wasn't anything serious. From the looks of things my current school is the opposite.

I've never been to a school dance, because I don't waste my three dollars to go dance. However, my school did a dance unit, and the boys had to pair off with girls. tongue We had a dance-off at the end of the unit, and my girl partner and I got into the last round and won second place. It wasn't that bad...and the first place winners got a cheezy prize...wait for it...Play-Doh! lol

My school dances are mostly sitting and being eaten by mobs of people dancing. Luckily, I went to my friend's Bat mitzvah and it was actually fun. There were video games and all the not-cool people played them while the cool people (me) were winning Kanye West glasses. Good times...
