I doubt this will ever be made possible as it requires interaction with the outside world (*screams heard in the distance + thunder*).
Anyway...
I would like Scratch, seeing as it's a web app, to be able to set temporary cookies on the user's browser.
I'm not quite sure how it would work, something along the lines of:
Is cookie present?
If Yes goto "Step 10" (by the way, I don't know if it is actually step 10 - it's just the name)
If No
Set variable for cookie length
Scratch checks if online
If Online execute cookie
Else (offline) nil (null)
(games plays)
STEP 10: Bring back to level cookie was set at
-----
As you can see it makes no sense and is quite frankly just me writing garbage - but you get the idea of the post - cookies!!
Thoughts?

I agree. You can set cookies in flash applications so why not give that capability to scratch?
