True, but using planes gives certain advantages in terms of versatility.
Like the inclined plane and irregular barrier examples I gave you.
Well I guess you could make them with real 3d too, but it'd be a lot harder.
Then again, I haven't really tried it with plane 3d either. But I have an idea of what scripts would work.

No, but if you've got a tight schedule, it's better to do something the easier way if the result is just about as good.
But I'd like to see you make a 3D thing where you can jump and climb slopes and stuff with real 3D
