No seriously, there are a bunch of mods there every day to mod something that isn't even related.
What if you got mods to mod it and make it like the TBGs?

Who needs to chat???None of you.This is a game website.Not a chatroom!
Nope, not even a "game website" anymore. People post anything they want and nothing gets removed unless it's unsuitable for children. That includes pointless spam, five second drawings, complaints etc.

Um, it was never a "game website" since Scratch isn't restricted for game-making (it's open to other types of projects as well).

Then I Think, that there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY To get together and Talk to our friends.

There has been a lot of talk about having chatrooms in Scratch.
The Scratch website does not and (most likely) will never have chatrooms. We do not have the resources or the interest at this point to support the monitoring of chatrooms. User-driven monitoring is not an option for a chatroom that involves minors. We have enough work with dealing with the projects and comments on the site as it is right now.
So sorry but no chatrooms.
We also want to discourage people from using the forums, galleries and projects as a chatrooms.
As you might know some members have created their own websites with forums and even chatrooms. You are free to do that as it is outside the realm of what Scratch is about. You might also have noticed that a few users were arguing about the list of chatrooms. So if that happens just with a list of chatrooms imagine what happens with the chatrooms themselves
Anyway, if you have anything to say about this topic this is the thread where it should be posted. Any other threads about chatrooms will be closed as they do not seem to provide any valuable information about Scratch.
Thank you and feel free to contac us if you have any questions.
Scratch on!
I can see why. I've been on a game that had a chat feature, and people didn't follow the rules. They said tons of bad words, and talked about... stuff. So that's a reasonable decision, scratch team!

I think cloud varibles will actually allow this. Maybe there will be a no chatroom policy for Scratch 2.0.
Banning cloud lists won't work, as they could store the chat in a varible (see the CSVs in lists thread), and banning cloud varibles is a fail (then there won't be cloud anything). So its probably a no chatroom thing.
Hmm... PMs with cloud varibles anyone? Maybe hide the system in another game, and make it strongly password protected, maybe with hidden sprites...
I hope not. Chatrooms are [insert word here with a meaning between good and awesome]!

Maybe you should hire chat room moderators, like you hired TBG Moderators for the TBGs.
But I do understand that it's enough work moderating the forums, projects, project comments, and galleries. Chat rooms would just require lots of more work.

So will we be allowed too make chat room projects?
There is a eight character limit for cloud lists in 2.0. After eight xjcharacters, there will be a "..."
But what about normal lists?
There needs to be some better way of stopping chatrooms, because then we can easily import the cloud list into the normal list, and I doubt the Scratch Team is considering also putting an 8 character limit on the normal lists too.
I think a better solution for this 8 character limit is to have cloud lists automatically clear everything but the most current 50 items once every two days or so. Or just set a limit on how much space a project can take on the cloud.

deleting cloud data? some people want to use this for something other than a chat-type thing... project data should NEVER self-destruct.

Agreed
I still don't understand...
Chatroom projects are banned?
Even with an 8 character limit people could have chat rooms that show the most recent 8 messages...
