No, it said that the Scratch Team encourages remixing. NO JOKE HERE.

That can happen when you flag a project as project theft when the project was actually an okay remix. I got the message once (though the project I flagged was an exact copy ).

I flagged a bunch of exact copies once, and I got the message. Scratch team, you need to do better with exact copies.

Did you remember to give the link to the original? It's hard for the Scratch Team to duplicates unless they have something to compare the copy against. Aside from that, if think they [the Scratch Team] made a mistake, just contact the Scratch Team here to follow up on it.

Thanks for bringing this up. I'll pass it along to the folks that handle the project flags - maybe there is a problem with the system that we need to fix.

I did give the link - after giving links with forum reports about duplicate topics, it felt natural
I think it was just a mistake... the project was removed, so no trouble

And here I was thinking that I'd get a 3 week holiday on a tropical Island

I didn't give the link because I thought the scratch team might check the "based on ____ project" thing.

This happened to me when I got mad at someone for stealing my project, changing a few colors, and calling it their own. Scratch was like "we encourage remixing, so do not be hostile to other people having fun messing with your project, Scratch On!" or something like that.
