I'm making the third episode in my series, LolFigures, but there is one bit where an explosion blasts the characters into the sky, but at that point there is terrible lag for no know reason!!! Please help!

How many scripts in total did you use? If you try and keep the number of scripts low, the project will run much faster.

Also, a mod needs to move this to Troubleshooting

Not necessarily...Troubleshooting is for actual bugs in the Scratch program or the website. This is still most likely a problem with the scripts in the project

The funny thing is, the lag only comes in at this point, and even upon disconnecting the explosion script, lag just COMES in. I have now erased that bit, and re-done my animation, but there is lag AGAIN!

If removing the script doesn't get rid of the lag, it's probably something else. Are there a lot of broadcasts or loops that are activated at that point?

As it happens, when the project is on Stop and I press broadcast ~SoAndSo~ it works fine. It's just when the green flag is on.
