This question is for anyone really, but should probably be answered by someone that has experience in copyrighting.. I am going into animation and am in my 1st year of college and (as some know) I have many characters of my own and would like to know how I should go about copyrighting my characters and my stories? Any help/advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance~

I believe nearly everything is automatically copyrighted upon creation. You can make it official, though, by filing for copyright, though it costs around $35 per copyrighted thing (I think).

Hey kris, what Sunrise-Moon said earlier kind of sums it up. The Berne Convention theoretically grants international copyright (in which a work is automatically copyrighted once it's published), but each country has its own copyright laws so it's worth into looking into the copyright laws in the country you live in.
