IDEAS:
Potatoes:
Found by digging in farmland soil.
Heals 1.5 hearts
Should be cooked into something.
Palm Trees:
If you cut up you get wood and coconuts
Coconuts can be planted and placed as blocks
Planted grows a new palm tree
Placed as a block makes a decoration
If you destroy it while it is placed you always get Coconut Fruit. It heals 2 hearts AND can be worn as a helmet.
There is a chance you get milk from them too

Ideas:
Knife
Wood Iron Iron
Iron Iron
Can cut foods, will make it worth 1/2 the hearts but will be easier to carry. It will also be used to cut cake, and to fight zombies.
Green Beans
Found randomly in well-lit crops, you can harvest these, cut it with a knife, and bake it to make Green Bean Casserole. It is worth 3 hearts.
Green Bean Casserole
Worth twice as many hearts as Green Beans. It can be cut and stacked.
Plate:
Steel Steel
Steel Steel
You can store food in it, it is able to carry approximately 3 items with sums of or less than 9 hearts.
Tray
Steel Steel Steel
Steel Steel Steel
It can carry 9 items with no exact sum of hearts. Stackable if you put the same foods on it. Placeable. Like a blue stone slab. You can put items more than your heart limit. The only way to carry liquids on it is with Cartons.
Cartons
Paper
Paper
Paper
Like buckets, it can carry all liquids except lava, but can only be used once unless having purified water run through it.
Purified water
Like water, but it is light blue and it restores 1/2 a heart and makes you go faster and jump higher. Lowers your Thirst.
Thirst
Your Thirst Meter measures your thirst. Once you get too thirsty you will have a 60 second penalty, in which your player regains all health and some thirst. If your thirst meets 50, you lose health. Thirst will decrease by 10 with normal water, 15 for milk, 20 for pasteurized milk, and 25 for purified water.
Pasteurized milk
This milk is free of all viruses which will decrease your health and speed, it will give you + 2 1/2 hearts.
Infected milk
Infected milk will
A: Turn you into a zombie
B: Give you a 60 second penalty
or
C: Lower your health and higher your thirst.
Zombie player
Your player will be unaffected by zombies, but will lose all health and all armor and items will be dropped. You will be able to control your character as a zombie, but dealing no damage to zombies.

The whole thirst and infected milk thing would make me stop playing the game. Also how you suggested to make cartons is how you make books.

Paper

Paper Paper Paper
There. And maybe for a mode like Adventure or Zombie Siege. But what about purified water? It is good. And pasteurized milk.

Maybe the healing, but going faster and jumping higher makes no sense for the game. This isn't Mario. Or Sonic, for that matter. Power-ups like that generally only work for platforming games.

If you were chasing zombies and you were cornered, wouldn't you want to run away?
Pie
Bread Bread Bread
Bread Apple Bread
Bread Bread Bread
Restores 2.5 hearts. Throwable. Placeable and can be set off with pressure plates.

It's not what you want to do, it's what makes sense to do. Minecraft remains a generally realistic game most of the time.

Oh well, still waiting for the save, at least so I can check it out if soup decides to play it for another day.

Hopefully that's not a pun involving fire, but maybe I'm just paranoid

I can't get enough eggs for a cake. I have all the milk and sugar, but not the eggs. I spent about an hour following a chicken waiting but I didn't get any eggs.

Fine. Check your chest, and you shall find the best.
Check my house. You will find torches. But what do they burn?

Oooookay then ._.
I'll take the save now if soup doesn't mind, so I can start building our main base thing, maybe a dock and a pantry to store our pork, bread, cake and stuff
Also, ideas for the main base? Maybe make a refuge underground and a decorative town center where we can chat or place notes with signs and stuff
