Perhaps could you post a link to your project? I'm lazy

You seem to have carefully crafted this - a full menu screen, bonus options like screenshots, even credits!
What advice would you give others when getting started on a game like this? Which parts did you struggle with and how could you approach that differently next time?

WOW! Amazing! This is one of the best games on scratch, and I love the design of the menu screen.

Well, my advice to scratchers who want to make an awesome game is this:
Think of some characters: Like a boss, some powerups, a main character and more!
Use the Maths: If you can stomach it, try making gravity or scrolling. this helps you make an awesome game.
Think of a story: Stories help when you're stuck for ideas.
ANIMATIONS: they are REALLY cool! In my next game, 'FluffBall And The Attack Of The FluffBots' which should be coming out spring 2009, (download it!) there are shedloads of anims. YAY!
I struggled with the main menu, because at first there was no main menu, so i had to connect it to the game somehow. there are still some glitches, so beware.
