I joined a collab, but now the thread is gone. Do threads get removed once the groups are created or something, or did the guy in charge [of the collab] just delete it?
Did it mention something about InfiniFish? If so, I deleted that because I realized I don't have time at the moment to join the challenge.
If it didn't, the maker of the topic probably deleted it, because it doesn't disappear any other way.

Do I just resend the application?Yes, you can resend and make a note that it overrides a previous entry.
Heheheh, whoops
We kinda got impatient so we got a new name with more members and we submitted it
It was originally called Prison 45 Alliance but now it's called Scratchy Scratch

Oh... Woops! I was typing it quickly in case someone else was also trying to write the article...
Fixed!

One Question:
Do those sprites have to be separete entities, or can I add more to them? Say if i wanted to put arms and legs on the ball, for instance. Can I do that on the same sprite, so long as I don't color over the image, or does it need to be just that pic, nothing else?

Ironic how I asked about putting the scratch off's winners on the homepage and this surfaced.Sorry to see you're mad The idea of the collab challenge came from our collaborators at University of Pennsylvania. They have been planning this since last year.
It's okay. Can I do a Scratch Off in a few weeks after this is done?

Hey hey hey, you said youcan use graphic effects on the sprites. Ghost is a graphic effect......
You could make them invisible. Is that Okay?

why does it need to be a collab?

That ruins the point. The whole idea is to be creative and imaginative. aif you just make them invisible and then make the project, there's no way it will be front paged at the end of the challenge...

I know. But I got an idea that would mean you would have to have it invisible for a while...

I have a question. What type of "graphical effects" can you add? Apart from the general scratch effects of color, mosaic, transparency, etc. could you...
-stretch/flatten the shape?
-add a face to the sprite, to make it like a character?
-make the sprite much larger/smaller without using the scratch size system (due to minimum and maximum limits and bad appearance in some situations)?
-(added) change the axis of the costumes?
-(added) change certain colors of the sprite not allowed by "color effect" (ex. changing the white in the ball to a different contrasting color like say, blue?)
Those are just a couple that I have came up with. There's probably some others.
Hi Lucario621,
Good questions. The intent of the project is to use all of the sprites as they are in color and shape (feel free to resize) at some point in the project. That does not mean that they have to stay the same way for the entire project.
Basically, everyone should be able to tell how each project used the same three sprites in creative, original ways. Think about it as making others able to recognize that you rose to the challenge - everyone should be able to see the yellow spotted ball, the blue/aqua pinwheel, the black squiggle. Changing the size or the axis will still allow people to spot the original images, so those don't matter (unless it's too small to see).
Of course, so long as they're all in the project *at some point,* you can change them, make additional costumes, add graphic effects, etc. elsewhere in the project.
As an example of what you can do, we made this project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/stareyes/1525974
As you can see, we used the ball to make flowers but you can still tell the original shape of the ball. The twist was used to stamp/turn/shrink and it became another image but the original image was used.
So be creative but at some point make sure the viewer can recognize the three original shapes/colors of the sprites.
Hope that helps.
