You might want to just comment this on one of his projects- more likely he'll answer, and less spam in Misc.

In general we prefer you use comment section on projects for a message directly to the user. Only post in the forums if the whole community can benefit from the post.
I've taken a long hiatus, but I still visit sometimes. Give me some time to answer any messages you post on my projects!
