what do the red lines around the script mean?

This means that there was an error trying to run the script...usually this comes from a glitch in Scratch itself or a division by zero error. Just hit the stop sign and run the script again.

It can mean several things. It can be caused by moving a script that goes for only sprites, such as motion blocks to the stage, and many other things, such as division by zero, which fullmoon mentioned above.  smile

To fix it, read your script through and try doing it another way  smile

If you used any division blocks, if the second number can equal 0, change it so it can't.  That's the most common reason.
