I couldn't fit it on the card, but Crustic's moves are Bite, Ensnare (Basic move, 15 dmg, opponent cannot attack or use abilities for 2 turns), Venom Spray, and Splash.

How about, you can play I creature and one booster card per turn for free.
And then you have to use boosters to use a cards abilities.
So like "boosters" are cards like Magic Wands and Light Orbs that are common. You play these, and when you have the cost of an ability, you discard/tap (depends on how we want it) them.

You forgot Void. And I'd like Larkit's attacks to be sorta like this: Void - Small chance of 1-hit-KO. StarShine - Heals user, has a chance to confuse. Glow - May deal a random status effect to the target. Spirit Abyss - Massive. Ownage. Period. (or Full stop.)
And scope should improve damage of other attacks, as your getting the target in your sights.
