When posting links to Youtube videos, the inappropriate content often present in the comments can cause issues. We prefer that Youtuberepeat be used instead of Youtube as it hides the comments, showing only the video.
Now, we've made a change to the forums so that your Youtube links should automatically be converted to Youtuberepeat links. Please let us know if you run into any problems with it - thanks!

wow this is cool, never heard of it but ill try it out now:
http://www.scratch.mit.edu/ext/youtube/?v=T7xPzC74tbYyou dont even have to put in the
[url]
to get it to work.
Maybe you should next work on word censoring, this is basically it so moderators will have an easier job at removing swearing

It sounds nice in my opinion

Cool. Good idea.

Cool, but Youtuberepeat might be confusing since its intended purpose is to loop the video, not hide the comments.
What about Silentube? It's like Quietube, and the URL formatting is the same as Youtuberepeat.

Yeah, silentube would be better, but this sounds really good!

Good idea! Sounds like we won't have to worry as much about posting cool Youtube videos here.

This.
When I first saw the topic name, I was wondering why it's "YouTube Repeat" but not "quietube". I remembered that I've seen Paddle2See recommending others to use "quietube".

Two reasons...Quietube has a button that leads users right to the original Youtube site...with the comments displayed. And the URL modifications for Quietube require a prefix format which seemed more prone to error. YouTubeRepeat is not ideal...but it seemed like the best choice for now.

So does silentube
Yes, but for youtuberepeat, you can simply remove the "repeat" from the url, which takes you to the original site. Well, I suppose it's better than a link.
