Is this bad...

There is a user who types all in caps. I was tought that it was considered yelling online. Is this bad to allways type in caps?

Well if the things that the user says aren't against anything in the Terms of Use then it's fine I suppose... Maybe you could report it to say that a moderator should just give them some advice to stop doing it...

It's not necessarily bad, unless what they're saying is against the TOU like WeirdF said.

By convention, I think most people see all caps text as "louder" or "yelling".  I suppose if they do it all the time, it's just part of their style.

Usually there's not very strict rules against this, especially since it's a kids' website. But yes, it's still annoying. Try telling the user that, nicely and see if it works  wink

Yea it is kinda rude, I only use caps like that if I am shouting or for ''I'' or the beginning of a sentence.

Conclusion: There is nothing wrong with typing all capital letters, but most users only use them to emphasize a point.

I think of it as rude yelling. It's not particularily bad unless the words in cap have a bad message in it.  tongue
