In the beginning, Notch created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form, and void, so Notch said: "Let there be light!" And there was. Then Notch said: "Let there be blocks, so that this land may be diverse and without monotony!" And there were blocks. Then Notch said: "Let there be man, so he may henceforth cultivate these blocks into structures that shall make this world known!" And there was man. Then Notch said: "Let there be multiplayer, so that man may share his creations to others and communicate!" And there was multiplayer. Then minecraft entered a dark age, the age of the Griefer. People's buildings were destroyed for the Griefer's entertaiment. Then a group of bright men got together, worked many a day and night, and created the Mod. And with these Mods, Man could banish the Griefer, and the dark age ended with Notch looking on from high. Then, after a time, Notch said: "Let my new creation be released to man before it is done, so man may see how good it is!" And there was Indev. Finally Notch deemed his new creation suitable for everyone to see and said: "Let there be Alpha, so Man may test his skills of survival and his wits!" And Alpha came into being. Then, after a time, Notch released his new world, the nether, so Man may meet his ultimate challenge, but reap his greatest rewards as well, so Notch then said: "Let there be Nether, so that man may test himself against the greatest of challenges, and survive among the fire and ghasts!" And so the Nether came into being, and Man begun to take on new skills in this vast new world. Soon after, Notch had deemed the world ready for further advancement, and henceforth said: "Let there be Beta, so that this world may grow and blossom even further, and so that Man's creations may be unabridged!
