Something I've been working on has created a specially good reason for font sizes in the bbcode. I've worked out a way to create image out of text (this will let users who are not allowed a file hosting account to still share pictures with the community) like this one:

You can read about it here but having a smaller font size would greatly improve this technique as a higher resolution could be achieved, with each pixil being smaller! Support these new bbcode tags!

So. To summarise, Here's a list of bbcode we could really do with.
Notes (hidden text that only the poster can see when editing a post. Not seen in quotes)
Centre (used to float text in the centre or right of a post rather than the left)
Some slightly less necessary bbcode additions that could be very useful but have been discussed heatedly in both directions:
Font sizes (a set of four or so sizes to choose from)
Alt tags (Let users who cannot see an image know what is there with an optional alternative text tag)
Strikeout (for putting a line through text)

which is how I see a block library post when I edit (and therefore applies to any heavily bbcoded post)
when I could use note tags to space things out for me without changing the final layout of the post as it's seen.

Not really. If the only way to see a note is to edit the post, then noone else will see anything you spam!
notes will not appear in:

highlights
forum searches.
Literally only viewable to the original poster when editing that post.

Maybe notes should add to the character count of the post too, so someone couldn't post a huge note and fill up more server space than needed.

if it was for the block library, the scratch control blocks post, you would do: [keywords]block;blocks;scratch;scratch_blocks;control;control_blocks;tutorial;code;hack[/keywords]
keywords are for a search, so instead of only searching for text, it would also search for what it's about.
the only problem is that spammers might put lots of keywords in to get their posts viewed

It's a nice idea, but the words in the post themselves are searched. You don't need to add keywords because it will take up time and has waaaay too many spam oppertunities. There's no point in keywording a post when the words in the post are the ones searched for
