Re: What are the best/Worst Games/Movies ever?

I'll just do films:

Best-
Lord of the Rings, for it's unequaled proportions in story, cast, and action.
Inception, for it's creativity.
Rescue Dawn, for it's realism.
The Passion of the Christ (BAN HAMMER), for it's acting.
Master and Commander. I don't know what for, but it's just awesome.  big_smile

Worst-
I haven't come out of many movies I didn't like...If I think I won't like it or it got bad reviews, I don't watch it.

I don't think it had to do with Turkeys. Some sort of Castle in the title, I think. Anyway, I really liked Night at the Museum, (The ads didn't do it justice.) and I also like this old movie from 1964 based on the book "First men in the Moon," but I never read it. I liked the movie though. Ray Harryhausen worked on it.

Re: What are the best/Worst Games/Movies ever?

Best movie ever: Toy Story 3/Transformers - Toy Story 3 was fabulous, a the best epilogue to a series ever, with much better CGI graphics that Toy Story 1 and a much darker plot than Toy Story 2 with that good old, kiddy-ish sense of magic that the others have; Transformers was a very action packed movie, and God, I was amazed at how such a simple plot could make such an epic film - all through out it, I was sat on the edge of my seat! It swears a lot for some reason, but I don't care - it's a great film!

Worst movie ever: Cars - What kind of vitamin tablets were these guys taking when they made this film?! It was awful, it just felt like a lame kids film. Well, I guess that's all it was.

Best game ever: I'm a massive Sonic fan. And I was blown away by Sonic Colours for the Wii - it's a combination of the day stages from the XBOX 360/PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed (which is a great start, by any means) with tighter controls for excellent platforming sections in the 2D parts, speed, and the incredible graphics - wait until you unlock Starlight Carnival, THAT, my friends, IS A TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT BEYOND ALL GAMES! It's an amazing game!

Worst game ever: Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) - O...M...G... This is a horrible game and should be burnt. It was glitchy, slow, had framerate issues, loading screens everywhere, loading times longer than a feature film, dull graphics, horrid gameplay, confusing plot and Sonic looks like a dork. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!!!

Re: What are the best/Worst Games/Movies ever?

Best:

Avatar (PG-13). One of the most amazing films I have ever seen. The visual effects and CGI are probably the best after Tron: Legacy's. The plot is familiar, kind of overrated, like "Pocahontas in space", but it really adds on to that to make a great epic, and I really love how they made the name. I mean, the movie's not named "Avatar" because of the Na'vi avatars, it's because in Hindu mythology, an "avatar" is a reincarnation of a god in a regular human, so in the movie, Jake is like the avatar of Toruk Macto. It may seem like a very simple plot, but it goes much deeper than that.

Toy Story 3 (G). The best animated movie I've seen in my lifetime. The ending is extremely heartwrenching, but still happy at the same time, like when Woody says, "So long, partner," it's like he's not only saying it to Andy, as he drives off to college, but to the audience, and the people who grew up with these memorable characters, putting an end to one of the greatest movie trilogies ever created.

The Matrix (R). This movie had such an interesting and complex plot, I had to watch it several times to really get it. I don't want to spoil the plot for anyone who hasn't seen it. But the action scenes were superb. It was kind of a violent movie, and there's swearing throughout, but it's an awesome movie. It's just too awesome to describe.

TRON (PG). I first heard of a movie called "Tron: Legacy", so I watched the trailer, and I was like, "Oh my god, that was cool." Then I heard about this 1982 movie called TRON, so I rented it on Netflix and watched it. And I loved it. I loved the idea of the world inside the computer and the computer progams are like citizens, and they believe in the ones who wrote them (the Users), and they compete in video games by order of the Master Control Program. It was just a great movie. If you're looking to see Tron: Legacy, you should watch TRON first, because you'll get the plot of Legacy a little bit better.

Star Wars V (PG). I like the entire Star Wars series, but the fifth one is my personal favorite. It has the most fight scenes and really reveals a lot of the plot of the series ("I am your father."), and has endless excitement throughout. If you haven't seen it, or the entire Star Wars series, watch them NOW.

I have a ton of favorite movies, but I can't list 'em all, so here are my all time favorites.

Best Movie of All Time: The Shawshank Redemption (R) (1994)

Great plot and overtone, and plenty of character development. A classic.

Worst Movie: Gulliver's Travels

This movie is rather funny, but most humor is crudely performed and slapstickish leaving a cheesy feel and some scenes (e.g. the one where he PEES to put out a fire) leave you feeling awkward.
