That's nothing.
My actual teacher seems to be learning this along with us. I had to correct him multiple times on finding phase shift. I seriously didn't know whether to lol or cry.
One of our subs was confused about a certain 'sign' on the math our teacher wrote before he left yesterday so he tried to look it up in the book
He offered a dollar to whoever could figure out what it meant before he found it in his textbook
It turned out that the teacher sneezed when he was making the sign and it looked less like a square root of sign and more like an eleven with a diagonal line drawn through it
So we got to spend the class figuring out what it meant
Whatever 'it' could have beenWow, that sucks.
Wait, what grade are you in?
And on a sidenote, the "happy 2011!!!" thing is bold and blue![]()
SO BLUE
SO BOLD
ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SCREEN
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN
But really I'm in 9th

Im in 7th grade, taking Algebra. But next year, I'll try out for pre-calculus (what ever that is
)

Plain old, boring, blah-coated Math 6.
I'm back. Here's a Kento/Shori kiss.Offline
Algebra

AP Statistics. Its a snooze class, after Calculus (Took it last year, made a 5 on the AP Exams. Wasn't that bad) Stat is just algebra grade math with fancy words. Not that hard.

No idea, different in UK. But I'm doing level E maths (meant for about 1 or 2 years ahead of me).

Algebra...I really have no idea. Whatever you do in normal 7th grade math. I know it has something to do with algebra. xD
My math teacher's only been out 3 times this year. We don't really learn anything with subs, but the good part is, when my teacher comes back, she let's everyone who wasn't bad according to the sub's report take 2 pieces of candy, and a pencil sharpener, mechanical pencil, or playdoe from the prize box.
We also get extra credit if we memorize the Greek alphabet. She's one of the nicest
seventh-grade teachers. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon...gah, that's all I remember.

I don't know...we just call it "advanced math."
Anyways it's horrible and I really want to skip it each day. I just doesn't make any sense like it did a month ago- it went from "I can do this in a flash" to "I feel dyslexic."

Hmm. Calculus in 9th grade? That's pretty impressive
Although, no offense, dude, but before that application thing I'd always thought you were, um, eleven.
Or twelve

trig is so boring, i have a perfect grade in the class
you wanna know something that's hard, try taking AP microbiology
in 10th grade
I'd take science anyday.
I'd take gym, or band(ugh), or history, or language, or art, or health, or anything that wasn't math anyday

The math class I am in is a normal math class that you have to take. Although that is the case, the classes are seperated by level, and I am in the highest level.
I am planning on taking algebra next year.

8th Grade, Algebra 2.
Thanks for making me feel dumb.
But anyway, what order does math go where you live?
Have you already taken Geometry?
I'm in Calculus AB.
Well... There's a lot of different ways... I think the lowest math level is Math 8, in 8th grade, and the highest (normal) level is Geometry in 8th grade. I skipped 4th grade math though, so I got to do Algebra II in 8th grade.
Yeah, I took Geometry last year.
You don't have to read this wrote:
But this was my schedule:
4th Grade: 5th grade math
5th Grade: I had to move to a K-8 school, and took Transition Math (A transition from normal math to algebra, I guess)
6th Grade: Algebra I
7th Grade: Geometry (proofs)
8th Grade: Algebra II - I have to go from the middle school to the high school to take it - I still have to take finals, as well, but I DON'T EVEN GET HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS FOR IT.And since the high school operates on a later schedule than the middle school, it's perfect for getting bussed over there,
Then
9th Grade: FS&T, Functions, Statistics, and Trig
10th Grade: Pre-Calculus
11th Grade: AP Calc
12th Grade: College class at a community college (more scheduling conflicts, yay!) or an online class

you guys stop bragging
really it's getting very annoying. Math isn't the only thing in life. If you're not in 11th grade Calculus or whatever in 8th grade it's not gonna kill you.
I could go on about my perfect scores on a ton of writing assignments and how the art teacher thinks I'm amazing and I'm in the top 1% of reading(in the state) but I didn't make a topic to shove it in other people's faces.

Talking to me? I'm sorry- I really didn't mean to brag. We're just discussing how math works at our schools. Now I feel really bad... I'll delete my last post. Sorry.
Or maybe your not talking to me. Either way, sorry.
