I definitely can't go if it's in London, England! *Please host worldwide conferences*
MEH! It wasn't fair that I had to attend a SEVEN HOUR FLIGHT, so it'd be better if I could go for a 1 hour drive
Besides, apparently more people live around London that are on Scratch...well, that's what I was told.
I doubt it...Scratch is based at MIT Media Lab in Boston, where they have a chance to go to schools all over the place promoting it. Even if there were a lot of Scratchers in London, why would they set up a conference somewhere expensive when they can get part of the Media Lab much cheaper? Of course, I really have no idea what I'm talking about, I just don't want the conference to be somewhere I can't go.

I am thinking that maybe you could ask your parents to organize mini-Scratch gatherings with other parents of Scratch fans that live close by you. This way it would be almost free and you wouldn't have to travel all the way to Boston.
Anyway, it's just an idea
i try and i try
like every day i tell /ask/yell for my cousins to join scratch but they always say (and this is a quote)
"no for the millionth time!!!scratch is stupid"

Maybe the thing to do is find out what interests your cousins have...then find or make Scratch projects that they would find intersting. Most people are interested in themselves - maybe you could make a project about them? Nothing mean of course!

I missed the first one and I live really close to MIT so I was really hoping for one there again. I don't think I could make it to London.

Anyone in the Vancouver, Burnaby area wanting to hold a mini scratch meeting? I only know one other person(Jamie) that uses Scratch and they live far away(Other side of vancouver). Also I don't know what the meeting would be about... It's not like everyone that uses Scratch is going to come to it or anything. All the admins aren't near around here anyways(I think, I may be wrong)

I think that the conference should be videotaped and brodcasted on scratch in the support section.
That's the greatest idea I've heard on this forum so far! We could host it live on http://www.blogtv.com, http://www.kyte.tv, or http://www.ustream.tv!

I like that idea, but like Cyclone103 said, what about the crazy people on Scratch. I would try one out in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. if someone hosted one in a public place, such as a computer cafe.
