What does 'Karma' in Scratch Suggestions mean?

A while earlier, on my Scratch Suggestion page, I noticed I had 34 Karma. What is Karma and what is it used for?
Edit: I now have 54 Karma! All I did was make a new suggestion. :p
Edit: I now have 65 Karma!!!!!

Hm, I think something will happen when one hits 100, but I'm just guessing.  I remember there's something about you get more votes for being active, this could be related.

According to my dictionary, "In religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, karma is the belief that your actions in this life affect all your future lives."

We know that, but Scratch Suggestions has a counter for every user labeled Karma.  We're guessing it has the same principle (good actions lead to reward or something) but we don't know what use the Scratch Team put it to.
