The Battle of Scratch

Here's the beginning of TBoS.  big_smile

Chapter 1
The Plan

The howling wind brushed against Rhy's head as he walked into a field, to feed the many hungry FMTs. He had worked with the trees, for many years and was slowly deciding that he needed a more exciting life. He sighed, as he gave the noms to the FMTs, where could he go? Life in FMT land could be fun, but trees aren't always that entertaining. Well, apart from the original one, the one which kept going into Forum Land before being thown out again by angry mods. That one was good. He planned that, wherever he went, he would take this tree with him.
He took out his map of Scratch Land for the 10 billionth time an looked at it. There was however, one thing he'd like to do with life, although it could make the whole of forum town explode, it wouldn't be that bad an idea. It was to became a mod, and go on many amazing adventures, fighting trolls, putting out flames, and eating spam. The mod elections weren't that far off that far off, but he needed to get supporters. He had been extremely popular making projects a while back, but it was as though popularity can just slide through the gaps of your fingers and be lost forever. Or something like that.
He looked up, along the country, and saw it: Moderator Training HQ, the fifth largest society in the country. He had dreamed of being there since he was a new Scratcher, working aimlessly on the large Banquid farms. Banquid was the liquid which banned users. It was found mainly in RuffleBee hives. The native creatures which had come to Scratch to spread weird, epic, and randomness. But they were kind bees. At least they said they were good bees. Some believed, some didn't. The extreme supporters had created a Rufflebee supporters collab. But where starting to go off-topic here, and that is a serious crime, especially in MiscVille which has strict rules protecting it from flames, spam, trolls, and offtopers. Offtopers are basically people who go offtopic, but we need not go into that.
Rhy called FMT1. They where all named with numbers by the government, who believed they are primitive beings. If anyone was caught calling an FMT by a different name they could be banned for a short while. There were many protests about things like this, but as it was, the government was in a bad state- many of the officials had been captured by trolls, and then assumed to have 'quit', which means to commit suicide. [Lol, I laughed as I typed that one XD] and the new Scratchers where very often caught by trolls, perhaps due to the closeness of the Banquid Farms and the lack of mod protection.
FMT1 (or as he was often secretly called 'Float') floated over to Rhy with a confused look on her 'face'.
'Hello Float dude,' said Rhy, 'there... there's somewhere I need to go...' He looked around to check nobody was looking, and whispered 'I want to become a mod, the elections tomorrow!' FMT replied in his strange, casual, floating language, but Rhy understood. He though it was impossible. He said that after all this time, would they remember him?
'Well, it's worth a try,' he said. Then he gad a sudden thought: what about the trees? Well they could have some freedom. He walked over to the gate, and swung it open. But the trees just flew over.
'Good God, I never noticed they could do that!' He said with a smile.

Chapter 2
The Journey

Rhy, and Float walked (and floated) towards the lake, where they'd get a boat to Forum Land, where the election was to take place. Rhy had brought food, and 12 TBG gems. When he could walk no longer, he called a passing variable and rode on him. Luckily it was a 'MPH' variable and had a value of 92, so they got to the lake in no time at all. Rhy got off, paid the variable 2 TBG gems, enough to increase it's ranking to 'slider', and walked up to a scripting boat.
A scripting boat is a boat where you have to write script on how to get to the destination. He dragged blocks about, usually using 'move 10 steps'. Finally he pressed space bar, and the boat set off. He had only used a scripting boat once before and was a little unsure. It was going in just the right direction, as he'd put a 'point towards [Forum Town]' in the script. The speed wasn't just right, but for a first time Rhy though it was pretty good.
After a good ten minutes Rhy and FMT where entering Forum Land. An ear-splitting cry came up from the town. There where banners everywhere saying 'MOAR COWBELL!' a little thing FMT had done earlier. They recognised many faces but not so with others. There were whoops and cheers as they entered the town, the 28 Forum houses stood tall each with golden lettering for each forum: All about Scratch, Collabs, Announcements and more, each one for different discussions to take place inside. The party went on and on until a moderator stepped in, and made them quiet down. FMT headed for Misc as Rhy stayed outside.
There was a guard for each forum and MilitaryDude stepped aside, with a little bow as FMT walked in. There were hundreds of doors and 239 floors! If a door was open it meant you could just walk in and discuss whatever topic was enscribed on the door, but if it was closed it basically meant that that topic was closed therefor you could not enter. FMT created his own room titled "The King has Returned" and had some fun with that.

Chapter 3
The Election

The next day Rhy put down his name on the list of possible-soon-to-be-mods. He had dreamed of this day since he was a n00b working on a Banquid farm. He had hoped Float would put his name down, but Float decided against it. Rhy tried to encourage him by saying that he'd have a great disguise (a tree), but FMT still said no. The voting was to start at eleven o'clock and finish at 3, and it was 10:45. You couldn't vote yourself so Rhy and Float had a tough time deciding who to choose. Rhy finally chose Lucario, and Float chose Blade.
Rhy hesitated as he wrote down Lucario, what if this vote made Lucario win? But no, it'd be fair that way. Then again it doesn't always have to be fair, he could just vote himself anyway, nobody would see. He argued with himself until he finally, with a sigh, wrote down his name: RHY. He'd cheated, but what did it matter, we're not exactly going to go to war are we?
As the digital clock in the top right of the screen stuck three, the many scratchers gathered round a circle in the middle of the street. Standing in it where the mods, and the Scratch Team.
'We have decided,' Cheddar announced, 'that there is to be only one moderator chosen.' There was shouts of anger and a flame began bubbling up.
'That person,' Cheddar said, halting the flame, ' won by only one vote. And the person is... RHY!' The crowd cheered and cried, making even more noise than they had the previous day. 'And,' she continued, 'please congratulate, though not quite a mod, LUCARIO!' Another cheer went up, though not as loud as Rhy's, for Lucario. But Rhy felt guilty, Lucario should have won. He sighed happily and laughed along with the others.
The next day Cheddar walked up to him, grinning, or at least her text smiley was grinning.
    'Your lessons start tomorrow.'
    'Lessons?'
    'At MTHQ.'
'Oh yeah, mod training,' Rhy said. 'What do you do?'
'Are you sure you know what you'll have to do? She asked.
    'Definitely not,' Rhy replied.
'Oh dear,' She shook her head, 'this could take a while.'

Chapter 4
The Message

By the end of December the mod training had been completed and Rhy had got into second in command of 'The Troll-hunting Mod Force'. He had a knack for spotting and hunting down trolls, but wasn't so good at banning them. He had found a cave containing two dozen trolls, but after a few days they had banned every one of them. Life had been good, and he'd met many new friends, and a new species. The species where called TDDs, and look like large dancing donuts.
A shout from outside. Rhy turned on the spot and ran out the room. He sprinted to the door and shoved it open. An FMT stood whimpering at the door.
    'T-t-tro-trolls!' it whispered , 's-so many trolls'.
    'What? Trolls, where?' Rhy asked.
    'So-so man-any trolls'.
'Yes, but where,' asked Rhy, impatience rising.
'The, the mountains. The Creatura Mountains'. It fainted. Everybody stared at Rhy.
'Well, um, we, I, I will go and tell Cheddargirl,' Rhy said. He ran about looking for her. Of course. She'd be in SUMHQ (Secret Underground Moderator Head Quarters), but that's miles away! It'd rake a good six hours to get up there and back! But he was the only mod here. What should he do?

[I know, short chapter]

Chapter 5
Flame vs Flame

It had been decided, there was nothing else to do, he had to do it. He had seen the massive army of trolls approaching. He stood up beside a statue of Gobo holding the Scratch flag, and began his speech.
'People of Scratch, we have had peace for many years since the day Sir MIT found Scratch Land, we have had happiness and had cool, casual lives. But no more! For, alas, are enemy is upon us. The trolls, the Creaturanian Trolls from the mountains, have come down in numbers larger than you could imagine. Take the biggest number you can think of, double it, add 36, subtract 129, cube it, then add 4. That is how many trolls will enter our borders. They will be here before nightfall, but we cannot hold off that many, no it'd be quitting (suicide  tongue ), yet we are the only thing that stands between the entire empire of Scratch and the trolls. We must lay traps, decoys, anything. We must send out spies, fill bombs with Banquid, anything, anything which will give us the chance to get rid of the trolls. Oh and remember, I definately didn't copy this speech from that thing I found in a draw about The minor war of Scratch.'

Nice!

FMT is a HE, not a SHE...

Can I be in one of the chapters, as a minor-ish character? I could be master of the elements, or something. (I made a game, Elements: The Game that got frontpaged a few times.)

FMT is a FMT. not a he, she or it. just a FMT.

Hehe, is this some kind of message about what would happen if RHY becomes a mod?

Re: The Battle of Scratch

I liked the story, me and Rhy are the stars of it lololol - but PLEASE get it right. I'm a guy.

Also it's a bit unrealistic:
1) Rhy would never run for mod
2) He would NEVER, EVER, EVERRRR think of voting for Lucario621.

Yeah, that
If Rhy could vote 100 times, we would divide it up between every candidate except Luc
I hurt my gut laughing about this
