When I saw broadcast block I did not know how to use it. I was not sure what it did, or how it affected things. I was unlucky and had to figure out how to use it by myself.
New scratchers should not have to figure things out the hard way by learning to use scratch with no idea how to do anything.

The broadcast block sends an invisible messege to other sprites. Like say the messege
it is sending says hi. When another sprite gets that messege it can do somthing , like
when I receive "hi" switch to costume 2. You can do many things with the broadcast block like using it in games and animations. I know as a fact that swifty2 uses it in his animations all the time. Using the broadcast block is the key to great games and fantastic animations!

Nice little post, at first I didn't know how to trigger something in another sprite either!

When I first started, I did not even know what sprites did!

Good idea putting this up. I didn't know what it did either when I started and was very confused how it worked. Now less Scratchers shall suffer that insanity.

If you right-click a block, a little menu appears. Click "help", and a window will appear, showing information on how to use the block and what it does. That might help in future
