Here, i would like give an FAQ on Closed topics to aid new scratchers.
Q: Why are topics closed?
A: They were most likely inappropriate, spam, or flamebait.
Q: How does a topic become considered, "flamebait"
A: It often is based on an opinion on an arguable topic, usually religion or politics, thus having chances of argument.
Q: Can a closed topic be reopened?
A: Yes, if a mod or Scratch Team member truly thinks it is ok.
Q: Can a topic be closed because of a single person's mistake?
A: It depends. If single person is to ruin an entire thread, than usually there is a reason for this thread to be closed. Usually, if one person is just making a fuss, that person will be reported.
Q: How can I get a topic to be closed?
A: You may Report the first post of a topic, if you have a good reason.
Q: What would make a topic spam?
A: If it is useless, or has no point of discussion.
Q: Nothing is wrong with my post, and it is closed! Why?
A: If it has no new posts, and has been like that for long time, it will close. Posts with nothing new in them close after a certain amount of time.
Thank you, and I hope this is useful!

Nice guide! Just something you might want to add; I've seen that topics are also considered spam if they don't really have a clear point for discussion. Still, good work!

Interesting guide. I think you should note that, in some forums, topics can be closed automatically after no one has replied after a certain amount of time.

This could really help people wondering why a topic is closed.
Maybe you could mention that TBGs in the incorrect may be closed as you can't move topics to the TBGs?

How long is that amount of time? ^^'

More ideas for reasons on why topics are closed:
Resolved (such as resolved suggestions)
Outdated (2.0 is released, now we will make a new thread for 2.1 discussion)
Necroposting (this thread is ancient and somewhat outdated)
Request (or is that what you meant by Report?)
No need for replies (done to some stickies)

I think it's either a month or 2 weeks.

Yeah - it's two weeks in the Misc, but two months in some of the other forums (e.g. All About Scratch), and some have no time rule (e.g. FAQ) ^^ I'm not 100% sure which forums fall into which, though...
