Love-its
One of my biggest questions on scratch is about love-its: Why are people so desperate for love-its? On almost every project I view, it asks for a love-it! Do you get a prize for getting the most love-its or something?
Please explain to me!

Good point.
The love it section is almost at the bottom of the scratch page though!
Most people will look at the featured projects instead.

It tells you that people like your project, and like above, you can get on the front page (and a lot of people view the bottom of the page, probably more than the featured section [which I find strange, because the featured projects really deserve to be noticed]).
That's why I never grovel for them, I let the person choose if they actually love it.
