if the forums aren't part of the main scratch site, why is the web address http://scratch.mit.edu/forums instead of http://forums.scratch.mit.edu/ ?

Well the forums is to talk about Scratch, so that's why we don't have 2 sites. Also, 2 sites could slow down the server.

I think it's just like there's no projects.scratch.mit.edu, galleries.scratch.mit.edu and users.scratch.mit.edu. Strange enough, there's stats.scratch.mit.edu.

EDIT: I've forgotten about wiki.scratch.mit.edu.

i mean, the forums are hosted by fluxBB (i think) but its on the main site, while other stuff like the wiki (basically like wikipedia) has its own subsite
