Re: An epiphany!

The ST understands sarcasm and jokes but we also know other people do not understand sarcasm and jokes or even if they do, they are still hurt by it. So this is the process by which I think we (the ST) should review the content of our website:

remove tone of voice and sarcasm from post or project
if (content == mean or content == inappropriate or content == unfriendly) {
   remove content
   if (account has previous content removed) {
      block account
   } else {
      send notification to account
   }
}

If you do not like this, there are plenty of other websites where you can engage in sarcastic and joke-based insults. I personally enjoy those other websites and I also understand that each website has different forms of interaction.

Again with the indirectly waving people off which is actually quite disrespectful in itself.

The point is that whenever I do a joking tone, eg, every post I get a notification for, it gets marked as the most disrespectful tone ever. This is not the case.

Re: An epiphany!

You seem to be experiencing some kind of Confirmation Bias and/or the Semmelweis reflex. Lots of notifications are sent every day to many different people. Many accounts are blocked as well. This is not specific to you or the people you know.

Despite the perception of unfairness and the plethora of similar online communities out there (e.g. newgrounds, stencyl, reddit, etc) you seem to continue to want to use Scratch for some reason. The least you can do is to follow the norms and policies of this community, such as the one I have stated above.
