All right, might as well get started on my new list of things for New - Scratchers.

Well, All of you might be asking questions like:

1) What are mods?

2) How do you use links?

3) How do you get famous?

1) What are mods?

Mod's are Moderators ordinary Scratchers just like you or me.  The only difference is they help make the forums a better place by:

1) Closing flame topics {See 9}.

2) removing inappropriate content {See TOU}

3) Posting helpful content 

Mod's are also modifications of scratch!  These normally only come up in Advanced topics though, so if you aren't in there, they are normally talking about Mod's, the scratch users

2) How do i use links?

To use link tag's you need to use the [URL] tag.  They will only work for any website if you are a Scratcher.  New Scratchers can only link to pages of the scratch site.  This is due to spammers spamming up the forums.
To make links though use this:

3) How do i get famous?

Tough question! 
The answer to this is that you can't really getfamous!  You can get popular, sure!  By posting projects that you like to do, and advertising on the Show and tell forums!  {A warning: Make one Topic and Bump it once per day!  People get angry otherwise}

4) What are the TBG's?

The TBG's are a separate forum for Text-Based Games!  They got moved because they were clogging up the original forum     {They also have different rule}

5) Where are the TBG's?

The TBG's are at scratch.mit.edu/TBGforums  The only difference is the TBG  in the name 

6) Why do i have to wait so long to post?
{I have colored this one red, because it is really important!}
You have to wait for so long while your a new scratcher. This was implemented when there was a series of spam attacks So they introduced the long wait for new scratchers.  But don't worry!  If you are a good member and frequently post helpful content, you should become a scratcher quickly     Activity on the main site also helps!!!

7) What's the point of flagging?

The point of flagging is to protect users from inappropriate content!  Flagging works by users pressing the flag button (Or report, in the scratch forums).  Then, the scratch team should go view it, and if it really is inappropriate, remove it.
I think that is right...

8) How do i deal with trolls?

This is a mistake a lot of people make.  Instead of pressing the report button, Which is what you should do, they try and deal with it themselves.  This is what the phrase "Don't feed the trolls" come's from.  By posting a negative response to a troll, you end up feeding him.  So, to deal with the troll press the report button, and ignore him!  For more detailed stuff on trolls, click Here!

9) What is flaming and flame topics?

Flaming and Flame topics are a bit different so.

Flaming is causing an argument for no apparent reason, except you don't like the others opinion.  When this happens it's normally got something to do with the topic
Flame topics are topics which will always end up in arguments such as:
Am I famous?
What religion are you?
etc etc

So try not to do these things!

What is spam?
OK, the definition of spam can be varied but as a literal term spam is this:

But literally, that is spam if you don't post a relevant text to the topic as well.  But spam is the use of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately.  Spam is the reason why "New scratchers" can't post in miscellaneous!  So now you know why you can't post there, it's to stop spammers, but you aren't a spammer, are you???

11) how do you put something on your sig?
Unfortunately, now only scratchers can make signatures.  This is to stop commercial spamming.  Don't be discourages 

12) How do i make a modification of scratch?
If you are really enthusiastic, and scratch is to easy, some people make there own mods (modifications of scratch).  To do this they download the Source code!  Then they use the browser to make blocks, category's and more!  (Find more information in Advanced topics

13) Who are the Admins, and what do they do?
Admins are the creators of scratch, usually.  They have more power than the moderators, yet do not abuse it.  They moderate the forums, make new versions of scratch, and generally help out!

14) How to I close a topic?
Unfortunately, you can't close your own topic.  You have to request for it to be closed by pressing the report link.  This may seem like it isn't meant to be used for such requests as:

1) Closing or Opening topics

2) Changing the topic name

3) Some others i can't think of at the moment

15) What is the Scratch Wiki?
The scratch wiki is a place where volunteers can add things about scratch such as:
~ Mod's (Modifications of scratch)
~ Terms
~ Lot's more 

16) What is Scratch?
While I myself am not going to answer this i suggest you visit This!  It explains it thoroughly and very well
