best time for a release date???
ok so heres the deal
if youve been compulsively watching everything ive uploaded then youd know im working on a game called milk run and guess what its finished but the problem is that id like as many people to see it as soon as possible because its a pretty chill game and all
the only thing is that now that its holiday bonanza time im sorta worried that people might not view it as much because of the holidaze with all their vacationing and such
so my question is is it a better idea to release the game now or should i wait so more people will be on scratch and not on holiday

yeah wait till tomorrow or the dat after.
also try upload upload in the after noon, because more people are online then. you can also use the forums online list to see how many people are online and upload accordingly.

yeah but the problem with that is how long i have to wait
once i finished it i got really anxious to put it up on the site since ive only got 4 days to get it to top viewed

It's a good question.... Check out the Scratch stats page (linked from the front). It shows how many people browse the site on any given month / etc. It probably doesn't get specific enough to make a prediction about the next few days, but it's interesting anyway....
We always experience dips on the weekend and over the Summer, maybe because we get a significant amount of traffic from schools. I'm not sure if we also get a dip over the Holidays... check out the stats and see if you can find a pattern.

around the turn of the year people generally went down but page view went up
but overall the thing you use for the general activity isnt all that specific or easy to use but thanks anyway dude
