wow so many scratchers wanting to be curators,i'll admit i wan't to to even thoguh i'm new to scratch but also because of that same reason i don't want to put up games that might be awful to experienced players so i guess i don't want to be a curator for now

Hey, I want to be a curator because I want to pick projects and put them on the front page. I always thought it was cool to be a curator. Put me In.

@winkleden-Remember, it's not just "i'll do it" and you'll get the position. Try putting some reasons other than "it's cool", because everyone thinks that. Why do you want to be curator? What might you curate?

If i were curator i would choose scratches with good songs, not many views or simply amazing ones. I Prefer games but i do like short animations as well.
Happy scratching people.

Here is another attempt to become a curator, and also to make a proposal that is longer than Jonathan's one. So here it goes:
I would like to become a curator because:
1. I would pick projects of all types, music, platformer, animations, art, simulations, and all other general games.
2. I know A LOT of Unknown project creators (just look at my friends list) and I see several new projects each day.
3. I would search through the 'Show and Tell' Article on the Scratch Forums. I would also make a project called 'propose your best projects here' so scratchers can link their and other people's projects for me to explore.
4. With these 2 resources for projects, I will plan to add a new project every twelve hours, giving the picked project about 36 hours on the front page and give it a healthy boost of 300 views.
5. I have been on the scratch website about a year now and I have a good taste of projects ( not just os's ), and will also take into account how many good and deserving projects they have made which shows that they are a good scratcher.
6. I will only pick projects that have less than 100 views, and that have less than 20 love-its. I will however pick projects that are in a series and the predecessor has been curated before. I have seen A LOT of good projects and I knew how I felt when I first published my first OS. (Thanks LS97 )
7. I will favour and more likely curate projects that run well online (or at least run well online), and make sure that there is no offensive material in them (that's for you, kids), and that they will be exciting to all audiences (not 'Barbie Dress-Up).
8. I will be fair and give each project the same chance (unless it falls into the previous paragraph), regardless who made it. I will not however curate projects where the creator will likely to be mean to his commenters or just not say anything to them.
(Where I stopped last time)
9. The amount of projects I see that have less than 50 views and are good enough to be curated is just incredible. I know so many scratchers are amazing and deserve to have their projects curated. But, just to show you, here are some of the scratchers that have good and worthy projects:
Prestige
SeanCanoodle
ilikewaffles
zxcvbnmkj
Dom818
hackjack
BigDolphin
10. In case I don't find any worthy projects ( I sound like a god ), I will ask my friends to help me find some and make sure that my front page curator page keeps on moving. I will also check previous curators favourites page and look at what projects they have favoured after their time as a curator.
There is 2 more points.
More anyone?

i would like to be a curator, too. I'm best at vurtual worlds. Here is a remake of penguin chat 3 i made: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jfmlove6/1491699 it is probably really bad and i have the lowest chance of becoming one, but I would really like to!

@optimax-I think mine may be longer than yours, or just a little shorter, because you abuse the enter! (jk) my speech Also, remember, long doesn't always mean good. (not saying yours isn't good)

Eh... I can't tell whose's longer.
@jfmlove6-Remember, you don't get to choose your own projects when you're curator, you have to choose others. Also, maybe add [url] tags? And, you should look for projects that the whole Scratch community would enjoy.
@bananaguy, eg, and wikkowokki-maybe try to describe more, like why and what you would do as curator, also some examples.

Heh, I guess I should take that as a complement. xD
@lucarcus: Why not show an example of those 'kinds of projects'?

Would like to be a curator. I think it would be great for me to be curator because i would pick platforming games and scrolling games. These games are ones that aren't appreciated to there full value. I wouldn't only pick well known scratchers, but unknown ones (as usual). But i would also vary my choices a little and sometimes pick mathematics games or educational ones! This is why i want to be a curator!
Thanks,
Steven

I would like to be a curator here are 2 good reasons
1.) I know some scratchers
2.) I will put good projects on for the scratchers who are not recognized
I know it not a lot but I wish to become a scratch curator!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I really like projects that ___________ Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: __________
That is kind of like a base. I just blanked out lightnin's post. fill it in with what you would do as curator, but don't post it. Take the filled-in base, and make your own speech out of it. I figured that would help, as that's what I did when I made my speech.

please may i be a curator because I do not think that friends things should be on there unless they are really good, I have seen some really good projects. I will probably change projects quite often and I will definitely put my favourites that I think will get lots of views. thank .

I do all sorts of things. Strategy games, Platformers, shooters, space shooters... It would be nice to choose games to show the scratch community. If I'm not chosen, fine, but atleast LOOK at my scratch projects.
