you know how you can see if a scratcher is banned if your not logged in? well guess what? you can see if somebody is banned even if you ARE logged in. that means:
no moar commets on the last project of the banned person.
no moar adding the banned person.
you cant even GET to the banned person's projects. (unless you remember one of the tags of the banned person's projects)
basically you cant even view the banned person's profile because a screen will block you [Moderator note: Please don't discuss individual Scratcher's account status on the forums. It could be embarrassing for them. Thanks!]
[color=black]well what do you think about the new ban update? tell meh in ur posts

Hmmm... Odd. I don't know why they'd need to update it, it worked just fine before.

So if you get banned now they wipe you from the face of Scratch.

No...you are still there. But you are invisible until you are unblocked.

Ah! Thanks for reporting this. It's not a feature we implemented on purpose - more an accident that happened when we implemented another, different feature.
We get spammed daily, and so we need a way to quickly remove everything related to throwaway accounts that are made just to spam, or post inappropriate stuff. So we decided to implement a feature that will make the my stuff pages of _Deleted_ accounts invisible. This just got done a couple days ago.
Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the feature would also affect blocked account owned by real community members (not our original intention). I've reopened the ticket so that blocked accounts will be visible again once we fix that change. At this point, I don't think there's much advantage in hiding blocked accounts.
Most of you know that when a Scratch project starts getting really really complicated, trying to change or fix one part of it will sometimes create bugs in other parts. The Scratch website itself is essentially the same - only it's about a jillion times as complex. This is why testing / bug reporting is so important. So thanks for reporting this!
(I'll leave this here for a bit so interested Scratchers can see the update, but maybe later today we'll move it to Troubleshooting, which is where it really belongs).

No, no, no. That's if they "DELETE" your account. Check out the differences between banning and deleting by looking at andres's post here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 23#p610023
For example, compare/contrast [removed] (banned) with [removed] (deleted).
EDIT: Oops. Maybe I explained it wrong.
