I know you new members are not likely to quit soon but these are some guidelines.
what to DO
1. leave your projects up! people might want to view them EVEN WHEN YOU ARE GONE!
2. If you do quit leave a project saying you will. people like to know rather than just quitting.
what NOT TO DO
1. delete your projects. a scratcher once did this and many beautiful projects were lost.
2. remove all your friends. people will think you are a jerk if you do.
if you quit follow these guidelines please

Very good! I agree, and I hope no one is quitting soon!

Hmm... while it would be nice of those who decide to quit leave their projects online, I still think we should respect a Scratcher's decision to remove their projects and clean out their friends list should they decide to quit.

Maybe but I think it would be nicer to keep good ideas online rather than gone.

I would not quit, but if I did I would definitley leave my projects up. But there seem to be some users who just vanish. My first friend on scratch released their latest project, I think 2y 4m ago.

Maybe you can change the word "guidelines" to other words like "advices" or "suggestions"...

Good idea, but it might seem like you're saying to people 'OK, you're quitting, so you have to leave all your projects up and try to get a lot of attention'.
I would also change the 'If you quit follw these guidelines please' bit. It sounds a bit... pushy.
Still good though

It's sad to see poeple leave, but it is their decisions for a good reason.

I'm actually new here and already finding this place very interesting. Although it's sad to see people leaving, at the end of the day it all boils down to how they want to spend their time. It only makes sense that they leave their projects up after they have left this place, so that others may contribute to the same.

People can do what they want, but when they do leave, it can be sad to lose a friend.

Wait. Why is this in the New Scratch Members forum? Now it seems that we are encouraging new Scratchers to quit...

I would hate to see any by leaving this great place. The reason this is the new scratch members forum is so that people may get the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community without feeling overwhelmed by this new concept. Come on new scratchers, sign up and introduce yourself at this place.

if anybody quits scratch, the person who does will get a bad reputation cuz they act like quiters and they're stupid.

Some people don't WANT to leave, yet they MUST because of school or university, sort of like how nikkiperson2 did.
Maybe I'll end up the same
