how to save your game with variables?

how do you save your game with variables, im currently working on a virtual computer, and im trying to get it so i can save my documents, settings, etc. i seen some tutorials and downloaded some but i still dont get how it works?? please help!!!

You use variables and lists to control documents and things, and you don't reset them when the green flag is clicked.

you need to put the data into a list

If you mean that you want the data to remian present when you close Scratch - it's not possible without editing the Scratch code.
