We want AUTHORITEEEEHHHHH! xDYes, asterisks are SO cute!
Dunno if forum mods really need a symbol next to names outside the forums. But if we did, I was thinking of a tilde (~) would be a nice, interesting touch for a symbol representing a moderator (although I would also settle for the bland apostrophe ).
Great idea! Either way, overall this is a great idea! For example, this will prevent impersonations of the scratch team! This is why this is so important!

I'm not sure if we were meant to have authority on the main Scratch site.Yeh should!
I agree. You should.
I think mods should have a + and admins should have a *+ to tell the difference!
Please quote this and turn it in to a giant poll.

That's cool! I've never actually seen one, though, but it's cool how you can easily tell if someone is on the scratch team. Btw, is the Scratch Team like a group of people who moniter the website or something??
Smiley faces rock!

Three days ago we started showing an asterisk next to the user name of members of the Scratch Team. This only applies to comments in projects and galleries. This can be useful when someone from the Scratch Team tries to intervene in moderating discussions.
Scratch on!
Just 3 days?

Please look at when that post was made. It's 2009-09-20 17:25:12. By the way, you are bumping this topic.

Hey LucarioAura, I believe Scratch Team member Lightnin commented on your project "Don't press the Button" with a message regarding remixes. The comment was made 2 weeks, 4 days ago, and can be currently found on the second page of comments on your project:
Lightnin wrote:
Just so you know - anything shared to the Scratch website can be remixed, with or without permission. Check out the _some rights reserved_ link under the project for an explanation.
Projects uploaded to the Scratch website are released under what is known as a Creative Commons license, which means the project is open to be downloaded and remixed by others; you can read more about this here. You may be interested in reading more about the remixing on the Scratch website.

That's what I meant when I said it.

The Scratch Team are people who work at MIT to make Scratch - the program, not the website.
EDIT: But they design the website too.

Well, you can become a Community Moderator by participating in the moderator elections, held approximately every four months. Your Scratch account must be over 6 months old and you must be at least 14 to become a moderator.

Oh, we're around.
(But the asterisk only shows up on the main site).

I agree with this method. Staff members need to me highlighted as on other forums. Gj
