Scratch

Well, 2010 is coming to a close, and the excitement of waiting for new movies coming out in it is way passed. 2011 is about to give birth to new movies, but that doesn't mean we have to forget about what the year 2010 gave birth to. Let's begin with 'Shrek Forever After'. Too most people, it wasn't as good as the first and second, but I believe it was one of the best in the franchise. It makes ties with 'Shrek 2', but is aslo better in some areas.

The fourth Shrek really closes the franchise in an appealing way. It definitely redeems the creators from the third one. Just to tell you all, there was going to be a fifth Shrek, but they trashed that one and decided to close it with the fourth one. Hopefully, they have more specials of it, though.


'Toy Story 3' is one of my all-time favorites. It really put the series to a close in a very nice way. The creators of 'Toy Story' really proved that sequels are not always bad, and that if you work really hard at another installment, you'll get somewhere good. Pixar has produced some very good movies over the past years, but this just really stands out from the rest. They had fresh new characters and everything you want in a sequel.


'How To Train Your Dragon' is a great adaptation of the book. It has bright, vivid animation and isn't one of those bore-you-to-death type movies. The characters were nicely made, too. Is one of the best Dreamworks has presented, along with Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and Shrek.


'Despicable Me' is one the funniest and cutest movies of 2010. The voice of Gru just seemed very real. The little girl was funny. The minions were, well, funny. Yeah, I think Illuminate is the next Pixar and Dreamworks.


Another book adaptation that really did swell. The animation was so realistic. They almost looked like real owls! The great gray owl, Twilight, was one of my favorite characters. Trust me, you'll be glad you spent money for this one.


Megamind-Haven't seen this one, but I will soon. I know it's gonna be good, based upon the trailers.

Upcoming Movies:

Cars 2-Looks better than the first.

Kung Fu Panda 2-Look forward to seeing this one, since I remember being so anxious to see the first one.

Rio-Same creators of Ice Age, or something like that. I'm definitely going to see this one.

Gnomeo & Juliet-Hmm...a gnome version of Romeo and Juliet...YAY! I saw the trailer. Very funny.

Madagascar 3-Madagascar is said to close the series with the animals returning to the zoo. Can't wait!

Incredibles 2-Been waiting for this one! It is said, Brad Bird didn't like it, so he restarted it. Put it out already!

Ice Age 4-Nothing really said about this, but I heard it's going to be like a mix of Madagascar and Night At The Museum. I love those two movies, so I think this is gonna be good.

Monsters Inc. 2-It is said to come out sometime. Pixar is good. I think I'll enjoy this one. I mean, they waited so long to release it. 

Happy Feet 2-Not my all-time favorite, but still one of the best animated films out there! Prepare to be tapped to death! 

Despicable Me 2-They say it's in the works and there's even gonna be minion shorts!
Good idea, but why not a movie 'bout Donkey? Still a good idea, though.

Mars Needs Moms-Walt Disney. It should be worth watching.

Arthur Christmas-Ooh! A Christmas movie! Seems nice...

Rango-Saw the trailer for this on the Shrek Forever After DVD. In my opinion, Nickelodeon isn't the top best movie-maker, but this proves me wrong. Looks great! I look forward to watching it!

The Smurfs-A new live-action movie. I guess it seems like a nice idea. It seems they're making live-action movies of classic cartoons. I mean, Yogi Bear. Now, The Smurfs! I mean, what's next?

Fantastic Mr. Fox-I loved this one, BRO!

Ponyo-OOH! Pretty water!

UP-Cute movie. Very scary at times, too.

Monsters Vs. Aliens-I don't usually say this, but LOL!

Astro Boy-Loved it!

9-Was gonna watch it, but On Demand took it off before I could.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs-Sony has truly brought the best with this!

I know, I put too much, but I just had the urge to do so.
