We should add a way to socialize like all the other online games like Roblox, Toontown, and so on have a chat feature in-game. We should add a feature where you can see other people playing the game and then you can talk and socialize. Then you can talk to your friends that are online!

well you can kinda chat but not in the same sense, not like IMing, and the ST discourages chat "rooms" (aka galleries)

Scratch is not a social networking site - it's a programming website. And the Scratch Team won't be implementing private messaging...

Uh... the forums are for discussing Scratch, not chatting.
Yes, that involves Miscellaneous too...

Lol, you are so funny fg123! Love your signature as well.
Anyways SkeletalWarrior: Just make one in a project and have it connect to Python which connects to those sites and then do whatever you want from there. You could make it so you can chat while someone is on Toontown, someone on the Scratch Project, someone on Roblox, all at the same time, but using the chat on those programs wouldn't work very well, it'd be easier on static things like forums, create a topic on some Forums you made, a topic on someone else's forums, and somewhere else, but that'd be a bit insane as well. It'd be best if you make the chat server or whatever in Scratch or some other language and use Remote Sensors to connect to everything. Or use Mesh. But as many people have said already, it's discouraged.

There's far more you can do - what's recommended is to download Scratch and start making projects.

O_o Scratch isn't for chatting, it's a programming website. You should go download the Scratch program and start making projects.

The fact is, people still "chat"(discuss) on the Misc forum and the Scratch Team doesn't storm in with Ban Hammers, so I'll assume it's okay to discuss in the Misc forum.

Well, they're not very strict, but topics will get closed if they get too "chatty, as the modes put it.

Well if you put it that way, then i need an example of which type of message would go to which topic in the forums.

Maybe private messaging might be OK, but a live online chat could get the scratch website blocked in schools. And I don't want that to happen, because I like accessing the scratch website from school.
