If you are currently enrolled in school or college, you can get an educational discount that cuts that price in more than half.  Only downside is that you are not legally allowed to make a profit from it (e.g. no charging for flash games or getting paid to make them).

For most hobbyists, this is isn't a problem.

To get to the educational section of their store, go to Adobe.com and search for "Adobe Education Store".

From there, Flash CS3 will run you about $250--a bit more of a manageable sum, but still vastly overpriced.

DotsandStripes I got it from someone who gave me there volume code, so its not illegal that way. Volume codes are meant to be shared with a business or group.

Adobe can charge whatever they want because it is by far the best program for making flash.

just goto that 30-day free trial and keep getting it every 30 days from different emails

i heard that if your a student you can apply to get it for 300$
