Re: A License Question

I'm pretty sure you can't...

The Terms of Use Say:

1.you cannot use the word "Scratch" to refer to derivative works (except in the phrase "Based on Scratch from the MIT Media Laboratory"),

2.you cannot use the Scratch logo or the official (copyrighted) Scratch cat in derivative works,

3.you cannot implement the ability to upload projects to any MIT Scratch website (currently, http://scratch.mit.edu),

4.copies or derivative works must retain the Scratch copyright notice and license, and

5.you must make the source code for derivative works available.

Re: A License Question

I'm pretty sure you can charge for distribution, but you have to give the source code when asked (and ship it with the product). And it has to be released under CC-Share Alike

Re: A License Question

Yes . As long as you release it under the same licence (add fulfill the terms thereof), it's perfectly fine to charge for download.

Re: A License Question

No, like make a game. Lets say Mario. In a mod, eg Panther. So it has URL blocks. Using alot of coding I could make it charge for a download of a new player e.g Luigi. Can I do this?

Re: A License Question

YES

Now that I've necroposted and felt stupid, please lock this topic. I believe the question has been answered sufficiently. If not, assign a moderator to answer it and file it away (cheddargirl, can you spare a bit of time?).
