Make Scripts Non-Editable...

What if in Scratch 2.0 had a feature to make your Scripts non-editable,and you have to have a Special Combination for you to edit the scripts. It would only be a feature, and every time your about to upload a project something would pop up asking you if you want the scripts to be editable offline. How's that?

Re: Make Scripts Non-Editable...

That's a good idea, but one question: If someone wanted to remix, how would they do it?

Exactly, stuff like this isn't added because Scratch is meant to be a program to learn, and looking at other persons' projects is a way of them. The Scratch Team encourages remixing.

Re: Make Scripts Non-Editable...

I think he doesn't like remixes...

Maybe he had some problems with an import project glitcher who copied his projects.

No.Not it.You  are Wrong He**Tank. What if you dont want people to remix the project though?like happy face co steals a lot of projects without changing a thing, and some people are jealous of 08jackts success of getting his scratch brawl on the front page, and they are remixing without changing anything.

Re: Make Scripts Non-Editable...

What would be the point of this? To stop others from getting at your scripts? Doing that is against the terms of service

Re: Make Scripts Non-Editable...

That's how little kids learn, copy other's projects. Do you see copied projects get famous? No. If they are, they will get unavailable from the front page. How would this help though? This PREVENTS people from learning from your projects, and you're encouraging them just to download and upload without changing anything!

Re: Make Scripts Non-Editable...

Sorry, but I can't see this happening. Scratch is built around the concept that everything should be open so people can learn from it. Remixing is encouraged, because it allows people to expand on projects and learn from it.
