i just noticed this

i was on the forums somewhere, and saw a post by andresmh, and a post by lightnin, and they are both on the scratch team, but have different titles.
andresmh says Scratch Team at MIT, but others like lightnin and Paddle2See say just Scratch Team.

i wonder why...

Re: i just noticed this

Maybe because they're not at MIT.

Now only using this account to post in Miscellaneous, but when Miss_Webgal becomes a Scratcher I'm ditching this account.

Well, andresmh is from the MIT (in Massachusetts), but Paddle2See and Lightnin from different states (I know that Paddle is from Maine, but I don't know where Lightnin is from), so that's why they're not credited as Scratch Team at MIT.

Not to mention, Paddle2See wasn't ALWAYS an admin. I knew him even before he got admin status.

Re: i just noticed this

Why aren't they all at MIT, though? Does Scratch have more than one base?

Well, this way you don't have to live near MIT to join the Scratch Team... oh, Jens used to be on the Scratch Team, and he was in Germany.

Wow, I missed so much of Scratch's history...

I should really read Chris' "An un-brief history of Scratch" more.  tongue

You do realise that he was using a different account to start with as an admin?  He had an admin account, and a user account (Paddle2See).  He then decided it got to hard and changed the Paddle2see account to admin so he only used one account.  Another history lesson from ssss, master of disgression!

Interesting story . . . I haven't heard anything like it . . .

I've always believed Paddle2See started as a regular (perhaps even extraordinary) user, and that he eventually gained Scratch Team status.

You would have to pull some strings to do that.
