Not likely. I know what you mean.

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

stupid 60 second rule means I'll never be able to add more than one block to the library in 60 seconds..... lalalalalalalalala waiting for the time to expire! ....

I hate that rule. Vote against it here: http://suggest.scratch.mit.edu/forums/6 … le-for-for

does anyone know how to make this into smalltalk code? (it's just a mockup, but I need it!)

(there's a little sneak peek of the new multiline strings coming out in Panther 1.1 by the way!)

(this is reading a webpage, so it's going to be a version if the one-line smalltalk command:

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

NEW LIBRARY FEATURE!

In the Panther section, you can see I'm starting to apply a downloadable block system. At time of writing this applies to four blocks in the control section of the Panther blocks. By making one block called "download block $Number$ from block library" a user need only type in the "block number" to download the working block into their project.

The "view source" link next to each block still lets people view the block code by looking at the actual hosted file that is used to download the block.

Hope you like it, and I hope it's useful!

If you put a number block that isnt in the block library it turns out like this (for panther) http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/1373615.gif
I never thought you would be able to put that on!

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

Here is a new block for scratch:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/3267339.gif

Blockspec:

('enable programmer facilities' #- #enableProgrammerFacilities)

Code:

 enableProgrammerFacilities
    Preferences enableProgrammerFacilities

What this block does: it allows you to alt-click or middle click things as if you turned fill screen off.

Picture:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/7591102.png
As you can see I have fill screen on but the red x is in the corner from alt-clicking/middle-clicking the window.

DO NOT USE:
WARNING! USE THE NEXT BLOCK AT YOUR OWN RISK! THE NEXT BLOCK HAS NOT BEEN FULLY TESTED AND MAY DAMAGE SCRATCH IF SO:
1.  DELETE SCRATCH
2. RE-DOWNLOAD SCRATCH
3. (optonal) IF YOU MADE ANY BLOCKs FROM THE BLOCK LIBRARY THEY WILL NOT BE THERE! YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-MAKE ALL OF THOSE BLOCKS!

The block:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/7057359.gif

If you click the block you will see:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/2724362.png
If you click no or anywhere else:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/3164938.png
If you click yes:
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/3240730.png?435
IF YOU CLICK ACCEPT SCRATCH WILL MESS UP!

What this block doese: UNKOWN FOR SURE! IT EITHER MAKES IT SO YOU CAN NEVER ALT-CLICK OR MIDDLE-CLICK ANYTHING AGAIN OR TEMPORARILY  MAKES IT SO YOU CAN NOT ALT-CLICK OR MIDDLE-CLICK ANYTHING. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Being older is worse, belive me. Once you get to my age, you have so much responsibilty and work, and you have to have a job and make your own way in the world! it's scary!

I was your age when I was 13!

So are people liking my block downloading block? You have MathWizz to thank as I based the block on his, mine just reads that variables from a website!

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

Motion, Control, Looks, Sensing and sound sections have now all got the new downloadable layout, and I'm happy to say it saves space and makes it alot easier to browse the library, which is what I was doing this for!

I'm also taking the "tested" icon out of Panther blocks with a download as all blocks I create a download for, I download and test to make sure I copied it across properly.
