Re: building a new social network

You'd have to use a program like dreamweaver to make a website like that. I don't really think that weebly would cut it. Just so you know though, Dreamweaver isn't free.

Re: building a new social network

First you need to build your web page template (Which you will copy for each page and add in the text you need)

Look for web page makers. There are some really good free ones out there.

The 10 Best Windows WYSIWYG Editors

Seemonkey from Mozzila. Includes a built in browser for instant testing.

Edit any web page and save it. Also build them from the ground up.

KompoZer is also good

Next Build a log in system using forms, php and MySQL.

Make sure to download a Server program like XAMPP which includes Appache, MySQL, Filezilla, Mercury (Email server).

Build a system which creates pages for every account.

You can build a basic chat like system with PHP and HTML forms.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.
