Re: wanna hear a story?

Chapter 13
Dean

I ran off, Chonglin not far behind. Weapons, weapons, weapons. The great spirit followed us, effortlessly. “You can run, but you can't hide!” he bellowed at us. Where to go? Chonglin caught up with me. “There was something about that guy in mc Donald's. I want to go back there,” he said. That was crazy, but right now, I couldn't think of anywhere. We skidded around the alleyway corner, and onto the main street. We ran past a statue of an angel, which had been there for as long as I could remember, right outside mc Donald's. We burst into mc Donald's. Looks like we were still the only ones who could see the great spirit. He was (trying) to bash down the door. Not easy when your hands go through anything you touch. It was the same guy as we had seen earlier, trying to serve two people at once. “So, sir would like the cheese burger with small fries (salt but no vinegar) and the slushy.  The old man took the old woman's handbag, and hit him. “No! I want large fries, and a pickle cheeseburger!” He yelled at him. The woman took the man's handbag. “Now, now, Reginald, you know how bad it is for your heart to be having all that activity. What would the doctor say?” The man saw me at once. He called out to a woman, who was also serving. “Samantha!” he yelled. “Get over here and serve some people,” he boomed at her. The woman whimpered, and came rushing over. He then turned to me. “you,”  he said, beckoning me over. “follow me.” he walked off. I didn't have much choice. I followed the man into a little room, just off the kitchens. We were totally alone. The three of us. He approached me. “Dean Smith,” he said. “MI5 international investigator. I heard you are after the great spirit, and that you are the only ones who can see the great spirit,” he said resting his elbow on my shoulder. “Alas, we can do nothing to help you, except give you this sword, which will stop the great spirit's soul.”
Chapter 14
The Last Stand

We ran outside to the great spirit. He was waiting for us. When he saw me with the sword, an evil smile tugging on his lips. Idiot. He was about to die, wasn't he? The sword flew out of my hand by itself. It flew around, and chased after me. It all made sense now. The first time we met Dean, he had a cruel smile. He wasn't really from MI5, it was all just a fraud. And the great spirit's evil smile when I came out with the sword, it all made sense now. “Chonglin, go!” I told him. The sword was coming at me, not him, after all. Chonglin just ran behind me for the whole time. There was only one thing to do. I jumped on to a trash can, and scrambled onto the top of a nearby wall. The sword followed me. I jumped. The sword came after me, but when gliding off the wall, it couldn't get enough height, crumpled, and disappeared. Sucsess. And we had rid ourselves of the great spirit. I took the lid off the trash can, and held it like a shield. Now for something sharp. I looked into the nearest house. It had a bread knife on the table. I picked it up. Equipped. Now all I had to do was find the great spirit. I cautiously walked out of the house. Chonglin followed. I looked around. The great spirit appeared in front of me. Find the weak spot, I thought, Find the weak spot. Most likely, it would be his armpit or the back of his neck. Little glowing balls of light appeared in front of me. The great spirit seemed to be conjuring them up. He sent them flying at me. If I let any past, Chonglin would pay the price. I hit one with my shield. That worked. I got them all except one. It was heading right towards Chonglin. I sprang backwards and just managed to reach it with my shield. “nobody, but nobody tries to hurt my friend!” I yelled at the great spirit, while losing my temper. I charged at him. He was confused. I had taken him by surprise. I jumped, and jabbed him on the back of the neck. Nothing. “Silly boy, Quinlan! Don't you know I'm invincible?” he bellowed at me. Yes, I thought to myself. Silly Quinlan.

Chapter 15
Donn gets his fish

One more option. The armpits. I charged again, but this time the great spirit was wise to me. He pushed a wall of air against me again. I fell back. Chonglin ran past me, taking the bread knife from me. He ran past me. I called out to stop him, but he ignored me. Chonglin charged, with only the bread knife to protect him. The great spirit was once again confused. Chonglin saw that, and jabbed him in his armpit. The great spirit yelled, and turned into dust. Ha-ha. Die evil spirits. It was getting late. I glanced at my watch. Ten. Curfew started at ten-thirty. Chonglin and I said our goodbyes, and ran home. I felt like I was being watched. Odd. I ran home as fast as I could, to get away from these imaginary eyes that were prying on me. I got home. There were police cars all over my drive. I could hear my mum talking to the police. Now that I had been put back into like, living memory, my parents must have gone frantic. I casually walked up the drive. “There he is!” shouted my dad. He came running over to me. We told the police to clear off, and we went inside. My mum sat down in the living room with me. I explained everything. It was midnight. I wanted to go to bed. I told my mum that I could leave the rest of the explaining till later, and ran upstairs. I tripped over my cat Donn, and landed on my knees. I sat down on the stairs. Donn came over and stood on my lap, still mewing expectantly. The fish! I ran downstairs, and opened a packet of tesco tuna. I threw it on the floor, and Donn ran over to it, and tore at it, and devoured it like a savage. I walked back upstairs to my room. I jumped into bed. It wouldn't have been to bad to keep going into video games, if only I actually decided when to enter a video game, and that they wouldn't disappear after using them. That struck me. All of the games were back. Even the ones that weren't in the four we went into. Well, I thought. At least Donn is happy.
