Actually, it is

You two are too young to understand it (And by you two, I mean... sand and uh... the first guy who posted the topic)

Yes, you need to be responsible with your kids, but not to the CSM point.

For all you know, I'm older than you. Stop assuming I'm the smaller one.

Rooker (Blade-Edge) is 17 or 18.....
And sand is, like, 10 or 11.

I do not agree with Common Sense in a lot of areas! They rated Xialon Showdown iffy for 8 and up. They even said it's stereotyping asians. The creator was Chinese, smart ones! They even rated it two stars! In other words, they hate it. That's stupid! They rated SpongeBob iffy for 6 and up? They even gave it three stars? I think it deserves 4! Unbelievable! Commen Sense can be quite stupid sometimes. Courage the Cowardly Dog? Iffy for 9 and up? I was watching this since I was 4! Literally! If you do not agree with me, no need to reply. If you do, go ahead!
I think most of the shows on WB are, let's face it, dumb. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Xialon Showdown. I love this show!

Nick has built up with a buch of junk recently, but SpongeBob stands out ahead of all of them. It's , in my opinion, the best. If you hate SpongeBob, watch Fanboy and Chum Chum. It'll rot your eyes out and damage your mind.

Sponge-Bob is rated PG....

What are you saying? What point are you trying to say?
Are YOU going to let your kids (if you eventually have any) watch bad movies and completely ruin their minds? Is that what you are saying?
CSM isn't forcing you to follow them, so don't. Don't look at it if you don't like what its saying. Its that simple, yet you seem to think its not.
Anyways, CSM isn't for people your age. Its for the parents. Now even they do not have to follow it exactly. They just judge from what they score it.
For example, lets say I am a parent and have a 4 year old son. Lets call him Winston.
Winston asks me if he can watch, spongebob, for example. I go on CSM for advice. It says 6+, two years older than Winston.
If I am an 'over protective parent', as you rudely call it, I will follow BECAUSE THATS HOW I AM. I didn't HAVE to, I WANTED to. Because thats the kind of parent I (metaphorically) am.
However, if I am more laid back, and can judge by the stuff CSM says is in it, I will judge FROM THERE REVIEWS if I think it is appropriate, knowing Winston. I know him, not the website, so not every review is going to be perfect.
I used the website, but I didn't follow it like its the law!
The website isn't aimed for you! Thats like you, watching barney, and complaining that its too childish! WELL OF COURSE IT IS! IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE BECAUSE IT IS FOR CHILDREN!
The website is for parents who want to be protective (Which is a very good thing to do) because they have nowhere else to get advice because people like you say things are appropriate WHEN THEY AREN'T.
The website isn't for you, so quit whining.

No way! I won't let my children watch inappropriate movies, but do I have to (if I were a parent) always have to direct towards Common Sense Media for help? I just don't always agree with it. Aside from the things I don't agree with, CSM is a pretty good rating system. Rotten Tomatoes is just down right mean sometimes.

I hate when people call inappropriate media "bad" media. Just because it's not appropriate doesn't mean it's not well-done.
And if I had kids, I wouldn't hand them a rap CD when they are 12. I'd just would not be an "OMG, THEY SAID THE F WORD CALL THE POLICE QUICK QUICK!" parent. You shouldn't hide too much from your kid. You should just explain things to them.
Anyways, we are responsible for our actions. So if my kid kills somebody, I can't blame it on the fact he watches horror movies.
I rest my case.

I'd rather not explain what swearwords mean to my kids when they didn't even hear it.

If the kid was an older teen I would. Not if he was younger though.

Also, I should only be blamed if my kid is violent, if I physically abuse him. And yes, spanking absolutely counts as physical abuse.
