Who’s going to see Voyage of The Dawn Treader?
I am!
I’ve been waiting so long to see it and it’s going into theaters TODAY!! I just read the book so now I’ll be able to verify the film’s accuracy. xP
This one is directed by Michael Abted instead of Andrew Adamson who directed the previous two, so I hope Abted does a breakthrough job lol, or at least a better one than Adamson( not that his where to bad). Disney is no longer involved with it either, because of a quarrel over the film's budget, Walden Media said the needed $150,000,000 to make the VOTDT but Disney wanted to limit them to 100,000,000. Now it’s distributed by 20th Century Fox who would meet the budget request (I hope it’s worth it), and fortunately Walden Media is still the studio that made it so that’s good.
So how about you, are you going to see it?

I will eventually see it. I found that the second one wasn't nearly as good as the first, so I am not that excited about it.

Me. :3 I'm going tomorrow.
I've seen the trailer and it seems to me that they've deviated from the original storyline quite a bit. I mean, they even managed to put Jadis in there somehow, just like they did with the Caspian movie. xD
But I still expect it to be kind of fun.

It's not that it's even a good childrens movie. C.S.Lewis' work is considered a classic in Europe and America, I believe. So it really is a good idea to see them, at least the first one. ^^

I really liked the first one. They stayed true to the book and the kids were good actors. but the second one, meh. At first I thought it was awesome (I was 11), but then I realized how mediocre the acting was and how much different it was from the book. Now, judging by the trailer, I'm afraid they'll mess this one up to. So no, I'm not gonna see it, but not as a boycott or anything. I just don't think I enjoy that genre of movie anymore.

yeah whats with the white witch? she wasn't even mentioned in Prince Caspian or the Dawn Treader, so I don't know why they put her in the movie.

I'm seeing it this weekend. It looks kind of cool. I know it WILL be cool because Prince Caspian was awesome.
The movie I'm really hyped for is Tron: Legacy, though.

Ya, that’s to be expected. In my opinion the best movies are the movies that make the viewer experience all emotions, or the ones that really make you think. Sadness is just part of the package. Though I’m guessing the sadness at the end wasn’t, you know, sad sad. It was probably more of a satisfying, or fulfilling sort of sadness, right?
