When applying to be curator, it's good to give some thought to the kind of projects you'd like to show. "Cool projects that most people have never seen!" is a nice idea, but it doesn't really give us a good sense of what you like and why. We want to know what makes a project interesting to you.
Try viewing the projects in your favorites, and see if you can find a theme that describes them. Talk about that theme in your post, and consider providing a few links to good examples of that theme.
For example, I really like projects that use sound input from the microphone to draw interesting designs on the screen. Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MitFan/874786Let's not forget this, everyone! Explaining what projects you want to choose helps the Scratch Team pick the curators.

cool i would like to be a curator... but i have only got a few things on my favorites do i need to have more than three... or can i sign up now.
if <( answer <=> yes )> then sign me up.
projects that make me interested are very random, generally things with patterns but yet things that make me laugh and some other things.
but things i like most are things that build suspense such as things with suspenseful music and scarily suspenseful background/character <set{ stewy }to( curator please sign me up for curator

I want to become a curator. The projects i like are the ones that not the average scratcher could do. For example, doing some crazy formula, or a project that looks real like it was on camara or something. Well these are the projects that i think are awesome:

I would like to be a curator! Things that I really like are very advanced, accomplished, and games that have a twist.

To do an url put

at the beginning and

at the end.
For example:
Random site
would be Random site (doesn't link anywhere). I think you want this.

The scratch team need more than 2 lines. When I did mine it was 10 paragraphs long. If you want to become a curator you need to explain why the scratch team should pick you. Say what types of projects, give some examples, maybe a plan of the projects that you will create, and don't just write "can I please be a curator thanks bye".
Hope this helps.

I am interested in being a curator. Many moderators were or are curators prior to or during their election time; that is why I think being a curator would have a good mark on my "application" when the Scratch Team looks at my account if I am selected.
I would choose games or animations that deserve more attention. I really like 1s 1s projects; but any well-made games that aren't given a fair amount of attention. Though I would probably curate games more often than animations, that doesn't mean I won't curate them at all. I will probably select animations with unique features (ex. interaction with the viewer) good art, or funny/moving plots.
Thanks for reading through this, or at least skimming.

Lol, you shouldn't want to be a curator just so you'll have something to say when you run for moderator. xD
But I think you would be a good curator

Curators are supposed to feature other people's projects - featuring your own just wouldn't be fair.
(If you do try to curate them, they won't show up on the front page.)

Don't get me wrong, I won't use it to push myself up higher; I only said that because it was an idea that sprang into my head while typing

If I were a curator I would choose projects diversely
Every day of the 2 weeks, I'll choose 2 or 3 projects that represent all areas of Scratch
It'll probably do something like art, game, animation
And on a few days, I would go art/art/art, or game/game/game or animation/animation/animation

I would love to if you are still approving. Some facts about myself:
I always make people happy or make them laugh. I have enjoyed projects that are made by new scratchers and would definitely chose them sometimes.
Thanks,

There are just so many people who just put something like "i want to be curator [add more smilies here]" and then expect to be curator. Maybe you should make it so you have to read the first post before posting or something...

Or, dear Kayybee, we can simply, do, this:

But then that'd be like a 1:1 post for every new post that comes in that doesn't say the requirements... Maybe there should be mods just for this topic. Like us, because that's what we do anyways.

First off, I you wouldn't be able to curate your own projects. Second, How about explaining WHY you like them? Third, are there really enough of those worth curating for a whole two weeks, and won't they get boring after too much? I mean, they are all pretty much the same, really. Finally, do you have a specific reason for those ones, and not the other 'add your person' things on scratch? Plus, I would suggest curating the original, to avoid confusion, if you do, in fact, become curator.
