but anyways being an artist is too risky because its hard to sell art if your not famous and dead so animation would be okay
It's pretty much the same for animation and any profession that involves graphics, trust me. O.o Almost all professions involving art are unstable/unreliable.
As for myself, I'll probably go for either knowledge engineering or sociology of knowledge, or something similar.Currently I'm searching for suitable faculties in MSU (Moscow State University). I've always been interested in broad society-related professions. Those two, besides being pretty interesting, also seem quite potent. ^^
No, it'd be hard to get a spot but I don't think that it'd be as unstable if you join a nice company.
I'd also like to be a chef. (Ha ha fat chance...)
Or a video game designer.
Or a photographer. (Again not a chance.)
Or an actor.
I just really want to pursue my dream in the arts ^^

My cousin goes to Blake, some high school prep school.
Even though her family is rich and she's very talented and has great grades, the only reason she got in is because her mom works there and they got a discount.
So MIT people keep that in mind.

I heard Rhyerson has some good 3D animation courses
I'm also interested in York U, and Seneca
And some college called uh... Sentenial
They're all like 2 hours+ away from my house by car though so that sucks
That's really all there is to say on the matterOffline

Just know that you either have to be a student with excellent grades, leadership ability/potential, and really high scores on the SAT/ACT, or have rich parents that will donate lots of money to the school. You'll really have to be a serious, consistant student starting in middle school, and especially during high school.
Also know that, contrary to popular belief, grades do not outweigh the SAT/ACT when you send in your resume. Steady, high grades make the difference![]()
Hehe, grades are my downfall.
~A's and B's all throughout highschool, but in all challenging courses, so I have a chance. (Unweighted GPA is 3.5)
~Captain of the Swim Team, 100 Volunteer hours, nominated for scratch moderator(Yes, I put that in my applications.
), Cross Country Team (4 Years), Soccer Teams (12 years)
~SAT Scores: 800 Math, 720 Reading, 700 Writing, 780 Math Level 2, 750 Physics, 700 Literature.
So, Stepphenwulf, where in this process are you?

I'm a junior, so I haven't quite narrowed it down yet (or even taken the SAT or ACT). There are a lot of good schools... You don't want me to list them all. In terms of in-state schools, NM Tech is a good school for science and engineering. (Yes, I live in New Mexico.) In terms of no-way-I'd-get-in schools, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering seems pretty darn awesome.

Junior.
I can think of a few things right now that I've done. I was the Senior Patrol Leader for my Boyscout troop for about a year for showing outstanding leadership abilities, I taught Scratch for a week at a programming camp during the summer, I have 170+ volunteer hours and counting, those volunteer hours inlclude shelving books at the library, helping run the summer reading program, library computer assistance and more, I'm an assistant karate teacher, and my ACT score is currently a 23. It's rising 2-3 points everytime I take it so that's a good sign, and I'm taking the SAT soon.
