Age Limit

I say instead there being a 14 year age limit, there should be some kind of test. 'Cuase sometimes 14 yr olds are mature.  And sometimes younger people are!

Re: Age Limit

No, it's already set in stone
No moderators under 14, and they don't care if you're mature and under 14, because it'll still be no

Re: Age Limit

I agree that the fixed age limit might be a little shaky, but our new moderators are doing a great job, so I don't see any reasons to change it.

Re: Age Limit

The problem isn't maturity. The problem is the type of things that trolls will post and put up on the site. The scratch team is not comfortable with kids under 14 being showed this content on a regular basis.

This has already been resolved with plenty of debate already.

Re: Age Limit

I just want to add another argument.  tongue  I've been shown inappropriate material before. So I doubt that will be a problem.

Re: Age Limit

Many people disagreed with this, but it's for the best. A lot of the content that moderators have to edit out isn't appropriate for younger kids to view. Oh well  sad  They're not going to change it.

Indeed it has. There are plans among the Scratch Team to discuss more about this, but it isn't likely the age limit required for moderation will be removed at this point.

This same issue has been closed off in the Suggestions page already, so I'll close down this thread, too, for now.
