Does favoriting help projects get to the front page at all?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Some people have contests with prizes as favoriting the winner's projects...but does that actually do anything to help the project in question?  hmm

Discuss.  smile

It does indirectly; by putting it on your favourites, people who view your page may view that project, and subsequently view it, adding a view and potential love-it, enabling it to reach front page.

So yes.

of course it would depend on how old the project is... it also helps if the person favoriting gets curator because that's how the curator row gets filled  big_smile  (ahem as in me starting dec. 20  big_smile  )
